Including himself. His father was a lawyer, and his mother was an alcoholic. Chase always felt neglected, because his father was at work. And his mother was somewhere collapsed on a sofa. Therefore, Chase would drown himself in the company of others, and eventually his family's money. He began writing music as an escape from the life he hated, but couldn't escape from. His music was his only true friend. Then his parents got a divorce, and he began to write more. He never wanted to show his music to anyone, because then they would be able to know his true feelings. His mother convinced him to show his music to a producer, as an apology for all her drinking although she never stopped. Chase never had the confidence to go to the label himself. He never got enough attention at home, and his friends only used him for presents and such. He never got the real heartfelt support he so desperately wanted and needed. He feels like now with the label, he'll get some recongistion for all the things he does. But it still won't be what he's looking for. The Fans will only want him because he's famous, and he knows this. But he'll still accept it because he'll need the attention. Although, sometimes he'll just want to lock himself in a room, and write out all his feelings, like he did when he was a kid. His parents got divorced, his mother got custody and moved them to L.A. HISTORY: Born in Las Vegas Nevada, Chase grew up in closed community. His family was always very secretive, and "what goes on in this house, stays in this house" type of family. His father was always working, and his mother was always drunk. They gave Chase nice things to make up for their literal and metaphoric absence. At the age of five, Chase was sent to the best school in Nevada, private of course. By the age of 8, he was taking lessons for almost every kind of instrument , pleasing everyone around him with his amount of talent. Around the age of 10, is when he really began to realize the problems in his family. His parents were beginning to argue more. over simple things. Things that could easily be fixed, or so it seemed. His sister, not much younger than him, began to cling to their father. Favoring him over their mother, taking his side any time they fought. Chase hated both of them, and thought they were both wrong. This point is also when he began to start writing music. Songs about hearing his parents argue. Also songs about them never being around. He loved writing and would write any chance he got. When he reached freshman year of high school, his parents were mid divorce. His mother fought for custody, and won surprisingly despite her alcohol addiction. Since Chase didn't comment on who he wanted to go to, and his sister was too young. So her choice wouldn't be justified in court. Once they came to L.A, Chase became even more closed off. He began to pay more attention to his music, instead of the constant girls in his school. He realized then that girls weren't for him. He was more attracted to the sweaty football players, than the short skirt cheerleaders. Of course, he hasn't told anyone this, except his label (who is making him seem hetero in order to appeal to more fans.) He doesn't completely agree with his label, and as the days go by, they make him increasingly upset. He just wants to be recognized for his work, and for how his love of music shines through. He doesn't care about the fans (he'd prefer not to have women yelling and throwing underwear at him as he performs) but he's learning to deal with it. Chase is grown up all the way now. Over 21. He has a job and is working on his solo career. He just hopes that where ever this takes him, is the way he should go. He lives in an apartment close to the beach, where he writes music during the day, and bar tends at night. RESUME: He has been singing since the age of 19. His debut album is coming out soon. |
