Jennie was glad it was Friday, even through she was no longer in school and didn't go to college, she was happy for the kids that did go to school. It was finally the weekend. Jennie was sitting in her front yard, watching kids playing outside. Her parents were in the house, and her brother was off with some friends, so Jennie was on her own. Usually she would call up one of her friends, and she had, but they had all been busy. Jennie frowned at the memory, she couldn't remember the last time all her family and friends were off doing something on their own, without Jennie. She was usually with someone. But not today. She watched a bunch of kids playing tag for a few more seconds before going back inside. She found her mom in the kitchen, and started whining to her that she had nothing to do.
Aiko, Jennie's mom, wasn't putting up with that, and thrust some money in Jennie's hand, telling her to go out for a walk or something. Jennie started in that she didn't want to go alone, but the look on her mom's face said not to push it. Jennie sighed, and left the kitchen. She was already dressed, in tight fitting, dark pink shorts, and a nice, white top, so Jennie headed out the door again, not really sure where she was going. At this point, Jennie figured it probably didn't matter, as long as she didn't go anywhere dangerous. Jennie must have been walking around for at least twenty minutes before she spotted Haagen-dazs.
Jennie licked her lip. 'Ice cream!' she thought. She had always loved ice cream, and didn't have a favourite flavor. She liked them all. Jennie walked the last few steps to the building, and pulled open the door. She got in line, waiting for her turn.

Haydon didn't have to work until later that evening. He wanted to get out of the house and do something. The man walked around and soon found the ice-cream place that everyone seemed to love. With a faint smile he entered and stood behind a young girl. She looked Oriental and was very pretty in her own way. However, she was a bit young for his tastes and didn't want to get into trouble if she wasn't over eighteen yet. Haydon might look like some kind of perv, but he wasn't really. The man was really gentle and loved interacting with others. He hummed a little to himself as the line shuffled forward, him along with it.
Several more people had entered behind him to wait their turn for ice-cream. What should he have? There was a lot of yummy flavors and Haydon wanted to try them all, but he also didn't want to make himself sick. Then he decided to go with a personal favorite, cookie dough ice-cream. He loved the tasted of it and it made him tingly all over. Hopefully the line would move along soon so Haydon could get some delicious ice-cream. Then, to make polite conversation, Haydon asked, "Beautiful day isn't it?" He asked the girl in front of him. He wasn't trying to be creepy. He just couldn't stand standing there being quiet anymore and wanted someone to talk to.

Jennie was looking at all the different flavors when she heard door open. She looked over her shoulder for a second to see a man with long, black hair that looking in his thirties. Jennie gave a small smile in his direction before turning back around. 'What kind should I get....Maybe chocolate? Vanilla? Strawberry? Cookie dough?' Jennie bit her lip. There were so many to choice from! Jennie counted the people in front of her. 1...2...3. There were only three people ahead, which meant she didn't have a lot of time to choose.
She wad looking at the different flavors that had when a voice behind her spoke up. Jennie jumped and looked behind her. The man with the long, black hair had been the one to speak. Jennie nodded at his question. "It is. I love beautiful days. It's perfect shorts and shirts weather!" Jennie loved warm, sunny days, it meant she didn't have to bundle up. It wasn't that she loved showing off, she just didn't care that much for pants. She loves shorts and pretty much lived in them.
