Oh of course she moved to LA just for the ice cream, because ice cream was a rarity in Wisconsin. NOT! That was a lie, and she beat herself up inside that she moved to California and she was parading around in a stupid ice cream shop. Oh but her argument? It's Haagen-Dazs Hadley, haagen-dazs. She couldn't fight it any longer and instead of turning around like a good little future superstar she just let her feet carry her into the parlor and she let out her breath, that she hadn't been aware she was holding. Hadley grew anxious, nervous, for some grand old reason, almost as though she were on some alien planet in a shop for...cream of space milipede soup or something disgusting. No, this was a normal delicious frozen treat stand and yet her mind just raced with the fantastical ideas that came so easily to her. She shook her head, realizing then she probably looked like some idiot hick from WesCanSin (even though she was FAR from it), and went up to the counter to order a simplistic delectable, vanilla. Hadley smiled, paid the attendant, and immediately licked at the treat as it melted away and a blast of hot air hit her square in the face as she left the store. "Awh hell..." She muttered to herself, thinking now that some sort of napkin would have been a smart idea. But instead, she'd be walking around with sticky fingers, getting lost in the hustle and bustle of big city life, just to try and start a new step, a new big change, in her life.

Ice Cream. The delicious child of ice, and well.. milk. Micah had to learn to love the snack, being in L.A now. It was hot over here, a lot warmer than Rhode Island, even in the winter months. Micah wasn't as much of a fan of the food, than as he was now. It was so hot in his apartment. Rather than having the a.c running all day, he wanted to go out, take a walk around. Catch a bus down to the pier, get some funnel cake maybe. But his plans were altered when he realized he could just walk a couple blocks (a good amount) down to the haagen-dazs store. He could just taste the creamy chocolate deliciousness as he walked. Once he was in line, he ordered a double chocolate double scoop, grabbed some napkins and a spoon, and went on his merry way.As he was walking through the door, he noticed a woman standing there. She let out two small words, so he sensed something was wrong. "You alright?" he asked, his Australian accent still very thick in his words.

Hadley had frantically been licking at the ice cream, just trying to keep it from dripping down onto her already sticky fingers. She had been mid-lick when she heard the thick australian accent behind her, asking if she was alright, and she turned her head around and popped her tongue back in her mouth. Hadley swallowed the ice cream down quickly, but her first thought hadn't been anything but a man with an accent...hott. She shook her head mentally to clear her head, to get those jittery school girl thoughts out of the way of her big girl ones, and it took her a moment to compose herself enough from the embarrassment she suddenly felt for the ice cream to speak. "Ha. Sorry...uh yeah just...ungodly messy" She answered licking at the ice cream again, thank goodness it had only been a single scoop and was melting into the cone now. "You'd think by my age i'd have learned how to eat ice cream with out the mess" She said, chuckling and standing there a moment. She held out her good hand, the one not covered with melted vanilla haagen-dazs. "Hadley, I promise you I am not always this gross." What else could she really say? She was herself, this was how she was and she wasn't, nor could she, change that.

Micah smiled at the woman. It was obvious she forgot that ice cream melts. Honestly, Micah didn't mind her messyness. At least she wasn't trying to make it seem like something it wasn't. Something that drove Micah away were the prissy types. He could never talk to someone like that. Even if it was a two second conversation. "I have napkins I you'd want some. I hate when that happens to me." he smiled offering her half of his stack of napkins he held in his hand. He kept smiling at the woman, realizing she told him her name. Hadley. It fit her, she seems like a sweet enough young woman. "I'm Micah." He could still tell his accent was there. It always annoyed him quite a bit. Hopefully she didn't notice." And don't worry. I don't judge. He kept smiling, and shook her extended hand. He then took his spoon and scooped up some of his ice cream. "So do you like the Haagen-Dazs?" he asked before filling his mouth with double chocolate soft serve.

When he extended his hand full of napkins she smiled and took them. Her ice cream had been basically gone, and she popped the last bit of cone into her mouth and chewed, wiping off her hands the best she could with them and tossing them into a trash can nearby. "Thanks." She said, laughing after she had swallowed the ice cream, He had taken a mouthful of chocolate after he asked if she liked haagen-dazs and she nodded. She really did, but that was because it was ice cream and she didn't have it that nearby to her like she did here. "Yeah...I do..." She said in a dreamy voice, acting though she did mean it. But she felt the need to make it kind of dramatic and longingful. "It's not easy to get in Wisconsin, at least by me. It's like a 3 hour drive just for some ice cream." She laughed, shaking her head and shifting her weight to another leg as they sat and talked. "Oh, nice to meet you by the way. Seems I'm having some trouble remembering my manners today." She really was for some odd reason. This new area, she just seemed so flustered with all the new sites and sounds and things to do in a big city with plenty of things to do. "How long have you lived here?" She asked, tilting her head some and giving him a smile. Finally, someone to meet in person instead of making friends online or running into just exceedingly angry people on the street. Excuse me, not my fault you hate your life. Get some air in the REAL dairy state!

He had never heard someone sound so passionate about ice cream before. I was like some treasured thing Hadley held close. It actually made him smile a bit. Not all L.A people were this refreshing. And to Micah, Hadley was something new. Something different from all of the surfers, the designer bags with mini dogs in them, the thick sunglasses, and the fake..everything. It was almost amusing how excited she was, but Micah didn't want to seem rude, so he didn't smile all that much. "3 hours?! You must really like ice cream." Micah wouldn't drive 3 hours for anything, let alone ice cream. (as long as it wasn't life or death.) "No your manners are fine." he smiled."Nice to meet you also." He noticed she moved around a bit, and he was worried he might be talking her ear off. He wasn't even much of a talker. He usually didn't speak unless spoken to. It started in high school, the girls would crowd around him asking him to say cliche things in his "cute voice." No. It wasn't a cute voice, it was an involuntary accent. It annoyed him to no end when they only wanted to be near him because of the way he said words. "Are you getting tired?" he asked referring to their standing. He ate more spoonfuls of his ice cream, awaiting her answer. He wouldn't mind sitting with her and talking more, but she didn't really know him at all. Most people don't sit and talk, bonding over the mutual like of ice cream.

"Well there were ice cream places closer. Haagen-Dazs just wasn't one of them1" Hadley laughed, having made it sound like either Wisconsin was so barren and desolate that it was a hugely long drive for civilization or that she really was a crazy woman and liked ice cream that much. Either way, she shook her head and just chuckled again at the thought, someone liking ice cream from haagen-dazs that much that they'd make it a day trip to go get a single scoop of ice cream. With her shifting weight he asked if she was tired and she shook her head, though sitting down did sound nice. Or continuing to walk down the street even. "Naw. Just starting out in sports at a young age has made my joints like those of old ladies is all." She answered, before turning around a moment and then back to him. "well you're ice cream is better equipped in a dish than mine, want to continue to stroll down the block?" Hadley hoped he'd say yes, she wasn't going to let go of a nice guy in LA and never speak to him again. She needed, wanted, friends and he was just the 'unlucky first'. Oh she'd evil laugh in her head (or even outloud) if she wanted, but she tried to not show off her nerdy side right off the bat. It tended to scare people away and she wasn't in Wisconsin anymore. This was LA, Los Angeles California, and she had to try to fit in, even just a little.

Micah felt so absent minded. Of course. It's not like she'd go just for Haagen-Dazs. He just smiled, and continued to eat his ice cream. "Oi. That makes sense." he said after swallowing his spoon full. Maybe he should've gotten a little less ice cream. He would seem like less of a pig. He didn't know he'd run into someone worth his time, in his defense. Sports? Hm, sports was an interesting topic. He happened to like them, and he used to play a bit of tennis. Not professionally of course. "What sport did you play? I did a bit of tennis and I liked it. Just playing on a Saturday morn with my pop and my little brother." He nodded. He ate more of his ice cream, nodding at her idea of a walk. It would be nice to talk to some one that didn't seem so prissy and baby-ish. Hadley didn't seem like that at all so he wouldn't mind walking with her. "Sure, Sure. Let's walk." he smiled once his ice cream was swallowed.

When he agreed to continue walking, she just could not help herself. Her hands went together, fingers splayed out and then one at a time the tips would hit each other and she gave a quirky little evil snicker. Ahh yes. My master plans are coming to fruition!" She's say, hoisting a hand partly up in the air but facing away from Micah, just to add effect. She was odd but she wasn't willing to change just because she was in LA. She went back then to answer his question about sports, listening to him talk about how he had played tennis with his brother and his dad for a bit. "I played volleyball for a while but I've been in martial arts basically my whole life." She had started at age 5 and she was 23 now. So yeah, pretty much her entire life was spent learning how to defend herself and competing in tournaments. She was a lethal weapon now! Or so she liked to think anyways. "I did a bit of tennis and badminton too and stuff. I love it! Even if i'm not very good." She would consider herself okay at tennis but she liked to think she was a champ at badminton. A CHAMP. "Now I do have to ask where you are from. It's probably a standard for you huh?" Hadley asked, chuckling to herself. She had to, she had to, she had to. It was typical, it had to be, when someone spoke in an accent that was familiar but not in person, that someone needed to know where they were from.

Micah couldn't help but smile at Hadley. Did she seriously just do that? Micah didn't see that often in L.A. He actually didn't see that anywhere. He couldn't help but comment. "Your master plans? I thought I was the only one." He smiled. He was such an awkward person when given the chance. He tried to hide his awkward personality, but he couldn't always pull it off. "Martial Arts?!" he said excitedly. "I hope drop kicking me isn't on your brain." he smiled. "But yeah, I'm not the best at it. We should play sometime. He offered. Which was a huge move. He never asked anyone out. And it wasn't like he was suggesting a date or anything. He just was a fan of playing tennis. He wouldn't mind giving badminton a try since it was along the same lines as tennis. Almost like a distant cousin. "I'm from Sydney Australia." he answered. It tired him to no end. He had to be asked that questions 101 times a day. He knew she hadn't met any harm, but he still was annoyed a bit. He still smiled returning the question. "How about you?" Micah was just about done his ice cream, and was trying to find a can nearby.
