[/div] AND IGNITE YOUR BONES - - - - AND I WILL TRY TO FIX YOU Xander was never one to like dating. He thought it was tedious and repetitive, not to mention degrading. It was the same thing over and over and over again. You made small talk, you flirted, and in Xander's case, you took them home all in the same couple of hours. They'd have bed rocking, headboard breaking sex, she'd leave, they'd never talk again and she'd have a story to tell all her friends. Did he mind this? Not really. But as his thirty third birthday rolled around, a nagging fact hit him like a ton of bricks. The actor had a child, yes, but he had never had a baby. Riley was a great kid, and he couldn't have asked for an easier person to raise, but Xander wanted a baby. He wanted a child to kiss and cuddle and clean up after – to feel baby skin and have to argue with his wife on who's taking care of it. The notorious Hollywood playboy wanted to settle down.
When he had gotten to the states everything had gone so quickly that he had little time to decide what he wanted. The young Brit was exactly like his son at twenty-three, or rather, what the public perceived him to be. Xander was arrogant and pushy, demanding only the finest for himself during work. He would demand low-fat decaf soy lattes with exactly two pumps of caramel, two splenda packets (god forbid they used sweet and low,) and absolutely no milk. If even one thing was wrong, he could taste it and would throw it in the intern's face, hot or not. He was an actor-zilla, but that all changed when he adopted Riley. It wasn't just about him anymore. He had a ten year old to care for and support, and so he straightened up in no time at all, wanting to be a good example.
Getting away from his son for the day, Xander decided to take a walk on the pier, eating some ice cream and conversing with the fans that bothered to approach him, smiling and just trying to be as charming as possible. He didn't really want to be bothered by them, but that's what came with his job. Other people had far worse problems than he did. With a sigh he put his fedora back on, along with his sunglasses, taking a seat on a bench and just people watching by himself with his ice-cream, bored out of his mind. He loved the pier, it was just no fun to be there by himself anymore. He wanted someone to walk with and maybe even be affectionate with. That's all Xander ever wanted. tagged .

It was hell being stuck with Riley and she honestly surprised she hadn't hit him over the head with a shoe and just quit the whole movie. But, Natalie was way to involved with herself, and she wanted to make sure to not blow her first chance at stardom.
Natalie had nothing to do today. She didn't have a set to go into, she didn't have lines to rehearse, and since she preferred to not have any close friends, she didn't have anyone to hang out with. So she thought, while in her apartment, of things to do or places to go. She could've gone to the mall, but we all know her closet is full of enough brands and gifts. There was always the spa but her nails were just re-done, and her skin was flawless, so another spa trip wasn't necessary. She could go somewhere outdoors, a walk on the beach maybe? Go and visit the pier, get some ice cream and just chill out in the L.A air. that was a plan to nat, so she got up, took a long bath, did her hair, and picked out something laid back to wear. no, she didn't feel like wearing heels today, because she didn't. who was going to call her out?
natalie decided to drive her care on over to the pier, she loved her baby and it was a gift. she couldn't just let it sit and collect dust. she turned her music up loud and took a short drive over to the pier. She got out of the car, grabbing her wallet and cell phone and went to take a walk. she adjusted her sunglasses, and walked over to the ice cream. she loved the ice cream the pier had, her favorite being strawberry with the little bits of the actual fruit inside the creamy mix.
she realized a little crowd forming and she had no idea what it what was going on. she began eating her ice cream and moving towards the people. They looked like they were taking pictures, and by time Nat got close to the crowd, it had subsided. She stood in the middle of the walkway, trying to figure out who or what had happened. She then realized the man she had never met, but had heard of. Xander Blackwood. The man that was going to get her in the tabloids. She perked herself up, and fixed her hair. She had a feeling he wasn't going to be into her bitchy mood, so she'd save that for someone else. She innocently ate her ice cream and neared to the older man. "Do you know what's going on? I saw cameras and what not." She smiled. She knew exactly who this man was, her goal was to not seem like a fan girl, and keep her cool .This man probably had many women going for him because of his name, Nat was trying to convince him she was actually interested. She wasn't of course, but this would put her acting skills to the test. HI |

[/div] AND IGNITE YOUR BONES - - - - AND I WILL TRY TO FIX YOU sometimes the crowds got a bit tedious. xander had learned to love the paparazzi. he always treated them with respect, just because he knew that they were trying to get bread on their table just like he did. even when they overstepped, xander had a much better reaction to them then his son or any of the other, younger celebrities. he'd often send them fruit baskets on their birthday, or sign merchandise for their children (or sometimes even them, if they really wanted it.) there was no point to treating them poorly, or even the fans poorly. why? well, they were what kept bread on your table too. fans paid to see you, the articles kept you relevant to the fans. it was a dependent three-way relationship. xander, being the age that he was, understood that without any questions at all. but when there were fans throwing anything and everything in his face, from shirts to bras to condoms and their bare tits, the prospect of fame didn't see very appealing to a guy that just wanted to settle down with a girl, and even more than that, a girl that respected herself and her body. maybe that's why he never took fangirls home, even when they were close to his age (relatively, by that he meant past legal age.)
if xander was to describe his perfect woman, she'd be a brunette of a fit build, with a stable career (in entertainment or otherwise,) who could handle his means of living, and eventually start a family with him. personality had very little to do with his planning. as far as xander could think, all that mattered was that they got along and she was a respectful and intelligent girl. after all, you really couldn't plan everything involved in finding your soul mate. sexual chemistry was a part of it as well, after all of his experimentation in his early life (and many flings) educated xander on exactly what he wanted and how often he did. after all, he wanted a kid. sex was going to be a huge part of that process, obviously. another question was britain vs the united states, but that was going to be figured out at a different time.
he smiled and waved as the crowd dispersed, relaxing and getting a bit drowsy, only to get approached again. only seeing her shoes, xander didn't even know who it was yet. "i 'unno some celebrity i'm sure." but it was then that he looked up and to the girl who addressed him, and a grin crossed his face. natalie! they had talked over the internet a few times, and there was some chemistry without a single doubt, but this was the first time they had actually seen one another face to face in person. with a slow and husky chuckle, xander took off his sunglasses and looked up at her from the bench, emphasizing his london accent, "hey, you worked with my son right? n name.. natasha? no..." he thought a bit longer. he was doing this on purpose, obviously. he knew girls only got their knickers in a twist when men couldn't remember their name, "natalie? yes, that's it. funny running into you here, love." and with that he patted the area next to him with a soft smile, offering a seat next to him just to be nice. she looked pretty good today, though xander wouldn't acknowledge that just yet. tagged .

She knew exactly who this man was. Natalie stayed up to date with everything regarding the entertainment industry. She knew how many movies Xander was in, his awards and a good percentage of his interviews. She wasn't his stalker, she knew nothing about his personal life besides that fact that he had money. All Natalie saw was a meal ticket. Something to get her name out there was what she was aiming for. She also liked older men, so that small detail was a major plus.
Natalie smiled at him. "Only a celeb. You would think the president was here or something. Flattery was only a part of her plan. She wasn't just going to fall into him, he had women doing that every day. She had to prove she was different than his regular fan girls. She wasn't but that's not the point.
Natalie almost grimaced when he got her name wrong. She had learned to keep her face the same, but on the inside she wanted to yell her name out at him. Natasha? What the hell? Nat-a-lie. She didn't think it was that hard of a name to remember. But she had no worries, two can play that game. "I worked with your son? The only person I've worked with is Riley..Oh are you Xander? I hope you are or this would become suddenly awkward for me." She smiled, eating some of her cone.
She smiled again when he got her name right. It wasn't until now that she realized Xander had an accent. It was nice to hear, but she can see herself getting annoyed with it the future. She moved herself to sit next to him on the bench, eating more of her ice cream. "It is, what brings you to the pier? she asked. She didn't care whatsoever. They did chat a couple of times online, but they haven't met in person. It made her job easier, that Xander was attractive. She'd hate for him to be old and wrinkly, then again he's not at that age yet. She looked around the pier innocently, and ate her ice cream also.
