Jai entered the room slowly. It seemed to be slowly filling with people. He had debated on coming. On one hand he wanted to support Laci but on the other hand he didn't want to run into Riley. He always got frustrated when he was around Laci's boyfriend because he wanted her to be his. He didnt want to share the girl he adored.
Eventually he had decided that it would be a good idea to show up. There might be people there who could help him get further in the world of celebrities. Mingling with other celebs would be fantastic, especially if the paparazzi got pictures. That would help him get noticed by even more people.
Okay, so maybe his motives for showing up to the party were slightly selfish but he did plan on talking to Laci as soon as her band had performed and congratulating her. her band was fantastic and they deserved to go far. Plus, if her band did good then she would be happy and he loved her the most when he was happy. He slowly wandered over to a table set up with snacks and drinks. He smiled slightly at the first person he saw. "Hey"

 riley did not want to show up for this stupid premier. sure, it was lacy's big night, but riely hardly cared what she felt for being famous and successful. they'd only been dating less than two months, but riley could feel something wrong in the relationship. having never dated a girl before riley could not gage his sense of right and wrong, but he constantly felt down and trodden on. laci liked to remind him how much he failed in bed, and having a big enough ego as it was riley felt personally attacked. he'd begged xander not to make him go. riley wanted to sit home and just relax for a day, but the older man insisted he be there to support laci, despite xander's great dislike of riley's girlfriend.
the actor sighed and stepped out of the limo, unable to hide behind anything more than a pair of sunglasses, the pair he wore as often as he could. cameras flashed and news reporters waved their notebooks and mics in his face, but riley pressed on without stopping. jaw locked, eyes set forward, he wrigged and shoved his way to the front where other bands and scouts were looking for prospects they could twist and turn into marketable profits. he stood to the side, cold and aloof, scanning the workers and set crew with a glare that could kill (if they saw it, however. sunglasses tended to kill the effect). when he didn't spot laci anywhere, riley sat down on one of the benches and dug through the cooler set beside it, pulling out a can of beer. taking off the tab, he put it too his lips and took a nonchalant sip.
"hey." riley turned his head slightly and glowered at the young man standing beside him. jai dagher, the brat who the tabloids were insisting had an affair of sorts with laci. "what the fuck are you doing, dagher?" snarled riley, ripping his sunglasses so jai could see just how pissed off he was. "do you know who you're talking to? and do you know that he wants nothing to do with your pathetic, flat ass?" riley could be a real jerk when he wanted to be. tagged "hollywood's heartbreaker" and "rudest celebrities of 2012," riley had a reputation to keep up. despite his off-putting personality the fans never left, and that aggravated him to no end. hopefully the boys of "one way into your ass" as he called them would take the pressure of publicity off riley's shoulders.

Of course, the one person he ended up talking to had to be mr. riley blackwood. He rolled his eyes as celebrity ripped off his glasses to glare at him."I'm coming over here to ask for your autograph and fanboy over you. What the fuck do you think I'm doing?" He had no problem being rude and sarcastic right back. He was willing to have a civil conversation but that was not going to happen now. Jai would not let someone be rude to him without being mean right back.
"Do you think I really want anything to do with you either? You're Laci's 'boyfriend" he made sure to air quote the word boyfriend, "and I'm her friend so I thought I'd try to have a civil conversation. Obviously, you have no manners." He could so easily walk away right now and avoid conflict but he hated Riley. He didnt know the guy well but he hated him. The reasons would become obvious sooner or later. Jai preferred it to be sooner but he couldn't say anything unless Laci was ready. He shrugged his shoulders slightly and looked away and into the crowd of people.
