Jai had a good childhood. He grew up with three sisters and one brother. His parents were really picky about what their kids did and they wanted Jai to become a teacher, like their father. So when he showed interest in singing they got upset and practically banned him from taking part in any music groups in school. He grew angry and as soon as he was eighteen he ran off to LA. He worked at a cafe and got his own apartment. He took any chance he could to sing in front of people and he was eventually noticed by some music producers.
