MASON HEY THERE, THEY CALL ME ZEKE AND I'M CURRENTLY 23 YEARS OLD. I'M PART OF THE NOBODY AND THEY SAY I LIKE WOMEN. ------------------------------------------------- "well hello there! how are you doing today?" Zeke shifts in his seat, leaning forward slightly with a crooked grin on his face. "I'm fine. I woke up with a new song idea in my head this morning and that's always I good way to wake up." "that's always good. tell us, how did you end up in LA?" "We moved out here about six months ago. We were all living in the same apartment out in Las Vegas and we were all working jobs trying to make enough money to actually move out here." "i see. what was your childhood like?" "Well I was born and raised in Las Vegas, and if you know anything about that area other than the fact that it has casinos, then you know that it's not the best place to live. My family were devout Catholics, which didn't really work for me since I've been atheist since I was about nine. You can imagine how they took that news. Anyway, my parents practically worshiped my baby sister Erin, who might as well have been the incarnate of everything good as far as my parents were concerned. I was the disappointment of a child. I'd skip out going to church and all that. I mean it wasn't as if I had anything against the religion, I just didn't believe it. I guess the best thing my parents ever did for me was give me voice and guitar lessons. Around my eighth grade year in high school I really started to get into music; stuff like Green Day and ACDC and Bon Jovi and stuff like that. And then I started writing my own music, which is what really inspired me to start my band. We started in ninth grade year, which is when we started writing our songs. Most of my high school experience revolved around that band. We came up with our band name about halfway through freshman year, and it's been the same ever since. We had all gotten sick, and were home from school and had bad fevers. That's where it comes from: A Fever You Can't Sweat Out. We were together pretty much all the time back then, and we still are. " "what are your goals while in LA?" Zeke leans back, crossing his arms over his chest, answering almost immediately. "To make it big. I mean, that's what everyone wants isn't it. That's the whole reason we moved out here. I don't want to make it big for the fame or anything either. But we have our music, and I genuinely want people to hear it. The best way for that to happen is to make it big." "what are your favorite hobbies?" Zeke smirks, his eyes lighting up. "Playing music of course. Of course, that's my job now isn't it? I like to skateboard and draw, and I love watching movies. Most of my time is spent with the guys though, so we end up doing a lot of stuff together." "what have you chosen as a career?" "I'm a musician all the way man. That's the only career I've ever really been cut out for." "anything you'd like to say?" "Just that I'm excited to be here, and it was nice talking to you." |
