Around the rest of the O'Connor clan, Joey is a nuisance. He is always pulling pranks on them, always messing with them, always doing everything he can to get under their skin. With four other siblings and parents who fight a lot, a kid'll do anything for attention. However, he's not so bad anymore. Now that he's moved out, he's been able to calm down quite a bit. Sure, his family is still extremely near where he is - he sees his two sisters almost daily - but he is away from them enough to be his own person. After a long pregnancy with their first daughter, Madigan was finally giving birth. However, after one baby came out.. things weren't over yet! Another child came out. Lo and behold, they had twin girls - Delilah and Destiny. Things got a bit more stressful, now having four children in the house. Rest assured, the happy and successful couple could handle it. Four years later, when they had another unplanned son, the happy and successful couple could handle it, right? Of course they could. However, they couldn't handle five children without things taking its toll on the relationship. The couple loved and cared for each other and their children without making love any longer. Madigan didn't mind much - she loved being mothering... but there was someone who did. Her husband, Quinn. As Madi got more and more involved with being a super mom, Quinn grew more and more impatient. Their affair lasted three years before Madi finally caught on - and filed for divorce. This absolutely destroyed Joey. The boy blamed himself - maybe if he'd pulled less pranks, been less annoying, caused less problems. Of course, that was before he knew about his father's affair. When he learned, he was ticked off. Whore. He thought. He blamed the other woman, and swore that he'd never look twice romantically to a girl who was overconfident and gave off that slutty vibe. He'd never give those kind of girls the chance to have something they didn't deserve. He couldn't believe it - she'd ruined the family. Now the whole troupe would never hear him sing in another talent competition together, they'd be unable to do anything to support him as a group. He was.. in a broken family. It killed him inside. Quinn admitted to the family that his mistress had broken things off with him after being caught, and had been cheating on him too - that she was getting married. After being offered a job opportunity, Quinn moved cross-country to escape both of his exes - and all the children except Aaron decided to come with him.
