elias loved l.a. to him, there was nothing better. it was always something to do, somewhere to go, someone to meet. he was the adventurous type of guy, he could't stay in one place for more than two seconds. his body wouldn't let him. so, of course he wasn't filming anything today, so he had to find something to do. he wanted to do somewhere he hadn't gone in a while, or somewhere he could do something. he suddenly remembered someplace.
he hadn't been to the pier in a long time. the last time he was at the pier a he and a couple of friends got drunk and went streaking. they almost got arrested, but they were all so fit that the cops couldn't catch them. not like they were running from anyone armed. it was just the cops that came to look over the pier. mere security guards was all. and it's not like the people that were at the pier that time of night, weren't enjoying the view. he was sure they were.
but that happened a couple of months ago. since then he had been trying to calm himself a bit. it seemed to be working, he hadn't met nor done anything wild since that incident. now he was hoping to start working on some new movie as leading director. which he hoped would come through for him as a steady job.
he rode from his apartment, on his harley (his favorite bike), and went to the pier. his plans were to get ice cream and the strawberry funnel cake he liked so much. he parked his bike and walked to the pier, fixing his sunglasses as he walked.

Claire was bored. She had been home all day with nothing to do other than lay in bed and feel sorry for herself. Okay, so not really feel sorry for herself, because she wasn't that pathetic. It was more like she was lying in bed, hating the things that had happened recently. First there was the thing with Riley, and she didn't want to even think of that, and then there was Sofia calling her a prostitute and if she didn't stop soon, Claire was quite sure the girl would get a fist to the face. To top it all off, there was that article, which basically made Claire out to be a slut. She was sure it wouldn't have been that bad, but then that director had called and she realized just how horrible the article was. She needed to get out, not to go to a bar or anything, but to enjoy herself. She needed sun and fresh air, and damn it all, she needed time to just be Claire. No arguing with people or having to defend her reputation. 'Maybe I'll go to the pier.' She thought. So she got out of bed and showered quickly, before getting dressed and pulling her blonde hair into a ponytail. This would be good for her, she knew. After all, the past few nights she had been drunk off her ass. She knew it wasn't healthy, always getting drunk, and she knew she had a problem, but there was never anything to inspire her to stop. What reason did she have to stop? Claire shook her head, banishing the thoughts from her mind, before hurrying out of the apartment she shared with Tori. 'She would walk.' She decided. It would be good for her, and it wasn't that far of a walk anyway. When she finally reached the pier she couldn't help the smile that cut across her face. She always loved the smell of the ocean despite the fact that she couldn't swim, and here it was everywhere, mixing in with the smell of food. She would get some ice cream, she decided, and then she would walk up and down the pier. She hurried over to the ice cream vendor, smiling at him as she ordered. "Strawberry ice cream cone please." eli finally reached the ice cream vendor, and he looked up to see what types of ice cream they had. did he want strawberry? no, because he was getting the funnel cake. but maybe funnel cake and ice cream was a lot, and he really didn't need to eat all of that. it would kind of put his personal gym sessions to waste.
he began to tap his foot, deciding he'd skip out on the funnel cake, and just get the ice cream. he loved funnel cake with a passion, but it wasn't worth loosing his body over. there was a blonde in front of him in line, who was getting the same thing he was. he smiled, he like strawberry ice cream. he hated plain vanilla because it was so...plain.
he did a quick stretch of his arms, glancing at his tattoo covered arms in the process. "i love strawberry icecream. he said aloud as he stretched. he didn't care if anyone heard him really, he was really just saying it. "their strawberry is pretty good. i'm getting the same thing. he said to the blonde. he was usual for him to make 'in line conversation' with other people. since he thought standing in line was so boring.

Claire reached forward, happily accepting the ice cream the vendor offered her. Strawberries were one of her absolute favorite things in the world, and strawberry ice cream was one of the best tasting things in the whole world.
"I love strawberry ice cream." A voice from behind had Claire turning, looking up at the man standing behind her. "Their strawberry ice cream is pretty good. I'm getting the same thing." He was attractive, Claire noted. Very attractive. She looked him over once before smiling up at him. "It's my favorite ice cream." She said. "Vanilla is gross, and I'm allergic to chocolate. But I can still have strawberry which is good." She stepped to the side slightly, out of the way of the counter, sill looking at the man. "I've actually never had it from here. You said it was good?"
The man, whoever he was, was better looking than most of the guys she saw on a regular basis. He seemed friendly enough too. How often was it that she ran into guys that were complete douche bags. Of course, her relationships rarely lasted long enough for her to find out what the guy was really like. After being hurt once, she was quite sure that she didn't want that again, and so she steered herself away from actual relationships. But that didn't stop her from looking, and this guy was worth looking at. She smiled again at him before licking her ice cream. It was good, some of the best she'd ever had.
